Re: Correction to the reference to "2 new buildings" in the Staff Report &
Recommendation to the Planning and Zoning Board for the September 20, 2007
hearing.
The Staff Report & Recommendation to the Board refers to the new structure in the
Collinwood North, Major Amendment as "2 new buildings". In fact, the L-shaped
structure, with a roof over a walk-thru area at the northeast corner, is one (1) building as
confirmed by the City of Fort Collins Building Department.
The error in the reference to the nature of the building apparently comes from the City
Planner's assumption that, based on the Water & Wastewater Department's comment
that each "wing" of the L-shaped building would need separate water and sanitary
sewer services, the structure was considered to be 2 buildings. The roof connection,
with tower above, between the 2 portions of the building does make it 1 building.
