Leslie Jones 1001 A East Harmony Road #344 Fort Collins, Colorado 80525 Reference: 4721 Dusty Sage Loop #4 Fort Collins, Colorado 80526 Permit # B0307982 Leslie, It has come to my attention that there is significant backfill settling beneath the driveway at the house foundation to the above referenced address. The City's records indicate that you were the original contractor for this building and as such you were required to comply with all City codes and ordinances in effect at the time of construction, specifically local amendment #59 to the 1997 Uniform Building Code Section 1838.2 of the appendix chapter 18 as adopted. Local amendment #59 reads: "Final grading adjacent to the foundation shall be compacted sufficiently and in such a manner that is not undermined or subject to significant settlement or displacement due to improper placement of backfill." Based on the pictures presented it appears that the backfill has settled in violation of the amendment stated. As the contractor of record I hereby require that Rutt Construction make all appropriate corrections within 30 days of the date of the notice.
