Mr. Ostblom,
It has come to my attention that the re -roofing inspection of the above referenced address
has been approved by the City of Fort Collins in error. Based on photo documentation
submitted after the City's inspection, it is evident that the exposure and spacing between
shingles was not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction and the
Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau recommendations.
This letter shall serve to notify you that in accordance with the International Residential
Code Section R110.5, I have revoked the City's approval of this installation and have re-
instated to active status, the same permit number. As the licensed roofing contractor of
record for this project, be advised that corrections are required.
For the shingle used, a weather exposure of 5" maximum is stated, that a space between
adjoining shingles of V4" minimum to 3/8" maximum be maintained and that shingles
wider than 8" be split prior to installing.
Notify the office when corrections have been made to reschedule an inspection.
