This letter is to confirm in writing various field revisions/clarifications that were made to the
structural drawings. These items are as follows:
1.) Trusses to be connected to supports with two Simpson H3 hurricane ties for trusses
longer than 20 t and with one E13 tie only for shorter trusses. See Simpson catalog for
nailing requirements.
2.) Where trusses are supported on the second floor slab, attach H3 tie to slab edge angle
with two HILTI X-EDNI powder actuated fasteners or equivalent fastener type.
