Terracon observed approximately 25 percent of the caissons at the above referenced lot
as requested on March 17, 2004. A truck pump was used to place the concrete due to
the water encountered within the drilled shaft. For each caisson observed we recorded
the minimum depth of penetration into firm bedrock, minimum length requirements,
caisson diameter, plumb tolerance, reinforcing steel and limited concrete placement.
The caissons that were observed appeared to have been constructed in general
accordance with the plans for the project.
