Collins, Colorado 80525-3354 Attn: Mark Rutt Re: Lot 14, Harmony Ridge P.U.D.; Fort Collins, Colorado 4702 Dusty Sage Drive W lei: Dear Mr. Rutt, Shear Engineering Corporation was not involved with the construction of this unit at the time perimeter drain installation and foundation wall dampproofing occurred. During our investigation of the structure, we made note of the following facts: • The foundation plan for this address was prepared by Advanced Professional Engineering, Inc.; APE Project No: 69-6N-3-27; Plan dated 05/01/01. The plan represents that a perimeter drain and sump pits are required for each unit. • Observations indicate that sump pits were provided with each unit as required. • There is evidence of damp proofing at the upper exposed levels of the foundation. The damp proofing consists of bituminous material. • Damp proofing application was provided by "Residential Damp Proofing" of Loveland. Damp proofing product technical data was provided to Shear Engineering Corporation by "Residential Damp Proofing". • The geotechnical investigation report for Harmony Ridge P.U.D. was prepared by Earth Engineering Consultants, Inc. and is titled "Subsurface Exploration Report, Harmony Ridge P.U.D., Fort Collins, Colorado'; EEC project number 1972027; report dated May 5, 1997. Based on our observations and investigation, it is our opinion that perimeter drain installation was completed in substantial compliance with the direction, details and specifications noted on the foundation plan which was prepared by Advanced Professional Engineering, Inc.; APE Project No: 69-6N-3-27; Plan dated 05/01/01. And in substantial compliance with the geotechnical investigation report for Harmony Ridge P.U.D. was prepared by Earth Engineering Consultants, Inc. 4836 S. College, Suite 12 Ft.
