OBSERVATIONS
In general, the size, type and placement of the reinforcing steel is consistent with the st wural
requirements outlined in the contract drawings. The horizontal reinforcement consists of No. 5,
Grade 40 steel, wbile the vertical dowels were No. 4, Grade 60 reinforcing bar. All reinforcement
was tied together properly, with laps at splices and corner bars being 24 inches in length.
