Mr. Hinchy:
A representative of Terracon observed approximately 35 percent of the caisson
construction procedures at the referenced project on December 12, 2001. Each
caisson was observed for depth of penetration into firm bedrock and condition of
the completed drill hole (i.e. free of excessive water and auger cuttings). In
addition, observations were made of caisson diameter and plumb tolerance.
In our opinion the caissons observed were constructed in general accordance
with the plans and specifications for this project.
