we nave :observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straight shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 24, Paragon Point 4th Filing (1148 Canvasback
Dr.ive), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This inspectic:
was oerfcrmed on September 9, 1997,
Exposed ocils measured from original grade consist of three 0 ;
fees of silty, clay over a claystone bedrock which extends to th_
depths drilled.
All piers observed were plumb, properiy cleaned, and of adequaO.
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 1762-01-53-01
Water was encountered during drilling. Therefore, we recomme.V
concrete be placed immediately after drilling of each individ..a.1
caisson. Casing was not required. In addition if4 grade
reinforcing bar can be subsuituted for the 45 in the foundation
