Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch diameter, straight shaft piers
supporting the residence under construction at Lot 48, Shenandoah, (6908 Egyptian), a subdivision
of Fort Collins, Colorado. This observation was performed on March 17, 1999,
Exposed soils measured from original grade consist of eight (8) feet of sandy clay over a claystone
bedrock which extends to the depths drilled.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned and of adequate length and penetration as specified
on KLP foundation plan, Job No. 4026. No water was encountered during drilling. Therefore we
recommend that concrete be placed immediately after drilling of the caissons. Casing was not
required.

Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the footing forms placed at the residence under construction at Lot 53,
Shenandoah, (6902 Leena Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This observation was
performed on March 31, 1999.
It is our opinion that the form widths are in substantial conformance with MNA, Inc. foundation plan,
Job No. 1024. No substantial amounts of loose material were noted below footing, wall or pad
bearing locations.
This observation does not, nor was it intended to cover setback requirements. It is the
contractors/owners responsibility to verify that the home has been located within the appropriate
building setbacks.
