Subject: Foundation sister wall at 508 Hunting Hills Drive, Ft. Collins, CO. (Engineer's job
reference No. 1676),
Dear Mr. McWilliams:
On March 28, 2000, during a telephone conversation you informed me you needed to add
a sister wall to the side of the garage foundation wall at the home you are building at the address
referenced above. Enclosed with this letter you will find a detail indicating the requirements for
this sister wall.
The minimum thickness of the wall should be 3", which may require the installation of a
cant strip on top of the new sister wali, where it extends beyond the face of the wood -framed
wall, to properly repel water.
