BASIC PLAN REVIEW CHECKLIST Occupancy Type:
This plan review is for general compliance with the 1991 Uniform Fire Code and amendments, as adopted
by the City of Fort Collins, Poudre Valley Fire Protection District, and the City of Timnath. The
applicant is responsible for meeting all requirements of this code before final approval is granted by
Poudre Fire Authority. The Authority's approval of drawings, designs, plans, and specifications shall
not in any way relieve the applicant of responsibility for the technical accuracy of the work.

., GENERA REQUIREMENTS
These items do not require prior approval or review by Poudre Fire Authority, but are require
bo be in place at the time of final inspection by the Authority:
1. ire Extinguishers: All occupancies must be equipped with the proper number and type
of portable fire extinguishers. These requirements are detailed in Uniform Fire Code
Standards 10-1 (National Fire Protection Assn.. publication #10). All occupancies must
have a minimum of a 2A-rated fire extinguisher.
2. Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be in place on all new and
existing buildings in such a position as to be plainly detailed and legible from the street
or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background.
3. Gas Meter Protection: Any gas meter which is susceptible to damage by vehicles, must
be suitably protected with concrete -filled posts.
