Gentlemen:
We have observed the drilling os several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straight shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 86, Clarendon Hills Third Subdivision, (4807
Langdale Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This
inspection was performed on September 27, 1991.
Exposed soils consist of three (3) feet of fill over eight (8) to
ten (10) feet of sandy clay, over a sandy claystone bedrock which
extends to the depths drilled approximately thirteen (13) feet.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned and of adeqaute
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No, 1355-04-01-01.
No water was encountered during drilling. Although, casing was not
required, we recommend concrete be placed immediately after
drilling.
