Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the drilling of several of tLo ten (10) inch diameter, straight shaft piers
supporting the residence tinder construction at Lot 49, Coventry, (4719 McGraw Drive), a
subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This inspection was performed on June 10, 1998.
Exposed soils Measured from original grade consist of three (3) feet of silty clay over a silty claystone
bedrock which extends to the depths drilled,
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned and of adequate length and penetration as specified
on the foundation plan drawn by KLP Engineering, Job No, 5037/Partial. No water was encountered
during drilling. Therefore we recommend that concrete be placed immediately after drilling of the
caissons,
