Gentlemen:
We have visually observed the basement, garage, and rear porch footing forms placed at the
residence under construction at Lot 63, The Ridge, (4700 Chippendale Drive), Larimer County,
Colorado. This observation was performed on October 27 & 28, 1999.
It is our opinion that the form widths observed were in substantial conformance with our
foundation plan, Job No. 1271-44-01-01. No substantial amounts of loose material were noted
below footing, wall or pad bearing locations.
At the time of our inspection, it is our opinion that the footing forms at the front porch were too
close to the basement cut. It is our opinion that the front porch footings should be extended to
native, undisturbed soils or placed upon adequately compacted fill after the basement has been
backfilled.
This observation does not, nor was it intended to cover setback requirements. It is the
contractors/owners responsibility to verify that the home has been located within the appropriate
building setbacks.
