GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
These items do not require prior approval or review by Poudre Fire Authority, but are required to be in place
at the time of final inspection by the Authority:
■ Fire Extinguishers: All occupancies mast be equipped with the proper number and type of portable
fire extinguishers. These requirements are detailed in Uniform Fire Code Standards 10-1 (National
Fire Protection Assn.. Publication # 10). All occupancies must have a minimum of a 2A rated
extinguisher.
■ Premise Identification: Approved six (6) inch numbers or addresses shall be in place on all new and
�j existing buildings in such a position as to be plainly detailed and legible from the street or road
fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background.
■ Gas Meter Protection: Any gas meter which is susceptible to damage by vehicles, must be suitable
protected with concrete -filled posts.
