Project No. 153-02-03-02 Dear Mr. Fraser: As requested, we have visually observed the framing of the main level deck and pergola being constructed at the rear of the residence at the above referenced location. It is our opinion that the framing of the deck and pergola, the supporting posts and the concrete foundations are in general conformance with the recommendations by Crown Engineering, llc. The framing is adequate to support the general residential load requirements of 40 psf. live load and 10 psf. dead load. The conclusions and recommendations presented in this letter are based solely on our visual review of portions of the described structure. Our review was limited to the items described in this letter and is not intended to cover mechanical, electrical, environmental, mold, site grading, architectural, or other structural features of the building unless noted otherwise. Project No. 153-02-03-03 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Fraser: As requested, we have visually observed the caisson excavations at the above referenced location. The purpose of this observation was to verify that the bearing capacity of the soil is adequate for the support of the deck and pergola additions at the above referenced residence. At the time of our observation, the excavation of the pier holes had been completed. The excavations revealed light to medium brown, slightly sandy clays to the depths excavated, which was to approximately 30" below finished grade. The pier sizes and pier steel reinforcing was observed to be in general conformance with the plans drawn by Crown Engineering, llc. Job No. 153-02-03-01, dated January 17, 2103. The conclusions and recommendations presented in this letter are based solely on our visual review of portions of the described structure.
