Those services were provided on a part-time basis and included observations and field density testing of subgrade materials as described herein, and testing of cast -in -place concrete for the referenced project. The results of the observations and testing services completed by EEC personnel during the referenced period are included with this report. During the referenced period, EEC personnel performed field density tests on prepared subgrade materials within the exterior concrete flatwork areas that had been placed/prepared and compacted prior to and/or during our site visits. The field density tests were completed at random locations and elevations within the areas tested and were performed in general accordance with ASTM Specification D6938. The field density test results and approximate locations of each test completed during the referenced period are shown on the attached summary sheet. The field density test results, conformed to the compaction requirement of at least 95% of standard Proctor maximum dry density. During the referenced period EEC personnel observed and tested Portland cement concrete delivered to the site for placement within the exterior concrete flatwork area as indicated on the enclosed daily reports. Field testing performed on the plastic concrete included slump, air content, unit weight, and concrete temperature. The ambient air temperature at the time of placement was also recorded. A minimum of 5 (4-inch diameter by 8-inches in height) concrete test cylinders were cast from representative samples on each respective date, for laboratory curing and compressive 4396 GREENFIELD DRIVE WINDSOR, COLORADO 80550 (970)545-3908 FAX (970)663-0282 www.earth-engineering.com EEC Project No. 1114078 Earth Engineering Consultants, LLC Ram's Crossing K2 March 4, 2013 Page 2 strength testing. Results of the field and 7-day laboratory compressive strength tests results performed during the referenced period are included herein, while the 28-days compressive strength test results will be provided in separate reports as the test results become available. Bi-monthly reports concerning the services provided by EEC and Inspex ndt. personnel, were submitted to Ram's Crossing at Campus West, (the owner's representative), Brinkman Construction, (the general contractor), and to the project design team members' attention during the appropriate time period(s) as the test results became available. We have recently been asked by the project superintendent with Brinkman Construction to provide a summary and/or compliance letter addressing the services performed by EEC and our subcontractor's personnel regarding but not limited to the foundation system and interior floor slab structural related elements along with the -structural. steel erection components. During the foundation construction phase for the referenced project, EEC personnel provided site observations and field density testing of over -excavated and moisture conditioned on -site subsoils/replaced as engineered fill material, placement and compaction efforts to stabilize the foundation bearing stratum at isolated location by means and methods of embedding recycled concrete/pit-run material into the underlying subsoils, as well field density testing of approved imported structural fill material within the foundation alignments, interior floor slab areas, backfill of foundation walls, and within on -site exterior flatwork areas, as recommended in the project -specific "Geotechnical Subsurface Exploration Report" prepared by EEC, Project 4396 GREENFIELD DRIVE WINDSOR, COLORADO 80550 (970) 545-3908 FAX (970) 663-0282 www.earth-encineerina.com Earth Engineering Consultants, LLC EEC Project No. 1114078 Compliance Summary Report Ram's Crossing K2 Building March 4, 2013 Page 2 No. 1112059, and dated October 5, 2011 to achieve the maximum net allowable bearing pressure of 2,500 psf. EEC personnel provided reinforcement observation of the foundation system including the conventional spread footings placed on approved engineered/controlled fill material, cast -in - place foundation walls, and interior floor slab. EEC personnel also provided testing of all cast - in -place concrete for the foundation system, and interior floor slabs, along with the exterior concrete flatwork adjacent to the building. Based on our review of the outlined testing, as directed by the general contractor and completed by EEC personnel on an as -needed basis, the final field density test results within the building footprint and associated exterior flatwork, and site utilities, met the project compaction requirements for fill materials placed and compacted to redevelop the foundation bearing strata, interior floor slab elevations, backfill placed adjacent to foundation walls and on -site utility installation trenches. Laboratory compressive strength tests completed on the cast -in -place concrete for all foundation elements and floor slabs conformed to the project specified minimum 28-day compressive strengths requirements. Observations of reinforcement within the foundation system for the project, (i.e., the cast -in - place conventional spread footings, cast -in -place foundation walls), were completed by EEC personnel and reports were submitted to your attention during the appropriate periods as the results became available. Based on our review of the outlined observations, we believe the reinforcement within the foundation system and structural relative elements were placed and constructed in general compliance with the project plans and specifications and associated RFI's specific to the project. Observations for the structural steel erection, welding and bolt connections were completed by Inspex ndt., a subcontractor to EEC, and reports were submitted to your attention during the appropriate period as the results became available. Based on information received, we believe the structural steel, weld, and bolted connections, as reported by Inspex ndt. were. in general compliance with the project plans and specifications.
