SUBJECT: Insp n of Caisson Drilling for the 4-plex under construction on
Lot48, Raven View Subdivision,
City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado

On July 25, 2012, we visually observed the drilling operation of twenty-seven (27) of the ten
(10) inch diameter caissons for the residences under construction at the above referenced site. The
caissons were located in the basement of the proposed residences. These caissons were drilled to a
minimum depth of twenty (20) feet with a minimum penetration of fifteen (15) feet into competent
bedrock. The caisson holes were relatively clean and groundwater was not present.
The caissons were drilled in general conformance with the above referenced foundation
plans. Three (3) 95 reinforcement bars were placed in the caisson holes prior to the placement of
concrete. Concrete was not present at the time of this observation.
This operation was found to be in accordance with good construction practice and in
accordance with the engineer's specifications.

RE: Observation of Reinforcing Steel at Lots 45-48, Ravenview Subdivision, City of Fort Collins,
Larimer County, Colorado
CDS Project No. 11-5742
Dear Wayne:
On August 10, 2012, we visually observed the steel reinforcement in the wall forms for the
residence under construction at the above referenced site. The reinforcement appears to be in
general conformance with the foundation plan by CDS Engineering Corporation, Project No. 11-
5742 dated July 13, 2012. We also observed that a UFER ground was installed.

RE: Observation of Perimeter Drain at Lots 45-48, Raven View Subdivision, City of Loveland,
Latimer County, Colorado

Dear Wayne:
On August 20, 2012, we observed the completed exterior perimeter drain system and damp
proofing at the above referenced site.
The drain system consisted of corrugated flexible polyethylene pipe surrounded by gravel, and
overlying a plastic liner. The drain appeared to be located at to below the top of pier level and is to
discharge into interior sump pits. In addition, it appeared that the damp proofing adequately covered the
foundation wall.
As a result of our observations, the perimeter drain system appeared to be in general conformance
with the engineer's recommendations.
