The Unapproved Dwelling Unit (UDU) Program, approved by City Council, was a program to
help owners of multi -family buildings (buildings with more than one dwelling unit under roof),
obtain the required Certificate of Occupancy (C.O.). The UDU program waived all development
fees that are collected at the time that a Certificate of Occupancy is issued.
As the owner of a multi -family dwelling you have applied through the UDU program, with the
purpose being to obtain the C.O. The City's expectation is that you would have completed any
corrections and obtained the required CO by now, since the UDU program officially ended in
June of 2011.
This Final Notice is to inform you that your
UDU #: UA1100013 expires on December 31, 2012.
No further extensions will be granted.
If you have not completed any needed corrections and obtained the required C.O. by December
31, 2012,,your UDU application/permit will be voided and a note in the City's address file will
indicate that your property is no longer considered a multi -family building. All multi -family use
shall cease and it shall be unlawful to continue using the property for other than a single-family
dwelling.
