On behalf of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, I am requesting a two year extension of the
above permit.
The Church formed a Building Expansion Committee, hired an architect and developed
a plan for the building expansion. The plans were approved by the Church Council
and a fund raising strategy was adopted. During this period, our pastor became ill and
was forced to take a medical leave of absence for several months. Subsequently,
because of continued declining health, she then withdrew from her ministry position
and an interim pastor was installed. Because of the uncertainty associated with the
pastoral leadership, the building program was put on hold until a new pastor could be
found. This process is now underway.
Therefore, we are requesting a two-year extension of the temporary permit.
