If such work is not completed within the time set forth above and approved on final inspection, or unless the time for
completion is extended by the Building and Zoning Office, an order to vacate the premises, or a violation notice for
occupying the building, structure, or land without a Certificate of Occupancy will be issued. Such violation is subject to a
maximum fine of $1000.00 per day for every day of violation.

NOTE: The issuance of this temporary certificate of occupancy will entitle the owner to place City Utility service in
the owner's name. Construction power rates may be substantially higher than the rate to which the owner
is entitled. Until the owner contacts the City Utility Office and makes the necessary arrangements to
transfer City Utilities to the owner's name, utilities will continue to be furnished at construction rates and
both the owner of the property and the contractor will continue to be liable to the City for all utility bills.
