We have observed the open excavation at Lot 17, Cottonwood Ridge, a subdivision of Fort
Collins, Colorado. (a.k.a. 4926 Pyreness Drive)
The subject excavation was observed on September 4, 2007. The exposed soil indicates
a balanced spread footing type foundation system is suitable if designed in accordance
with the recommendations contained in the soils report performed by Terracon, Project
No. 20025046, dated December 17, 2002. No water was encountered to a depth of 6 feet.
All footings shall be 8" thick unless otherwise noted. A properly installed perimeter
subdrain is required to help protect all below grade habitable space from water infiltration.

RE: Observation of Footings & Steel Reinforcing for Lot 17, Cottonwood Subdivision, Fort
Collins, Colorado.-(a.k.a. 4926 Pyreness Drive)
Gentlemen:
We observed footings, pads and the reinforcing steel placed in the footings, pads and foundation
walls at the subject site on September 11, 2007 and September 12, 2007 . All observed footings,
pads and steel reinforcing met the specifications for size, type and installation as per foundation plan
prepared by Landmark Engineering Ltd, Project No. PROGLI-7H413-09-327, dated July 30, 2007.
Rebar tie-in for grounding electrode was verified to be connected to the foundation rebar and
extended to above grade level for electricians to connect to at time of electrical rough -in.

RE: Damp Proofing and Perimeter Drain Material and Installation Observation for Lot 17,

Gentlemen:
Personnel from this office observed the applied damp proofing and perimeter drain installation and
materials on September 18, 2007. The observed drain installation, damp proofing, and perimeter
drain system material was found to be in general compliance with the recommendations set forth in
• the foundationplan, Project No. PROGLI-7H4D-09-327, dated July 30, 2007, prepared byLandmark
Engineering Ltd.
