Dear Kunz.
This letter affirms that the undersigned was the Structural Engineer of Record for the
above referenced building. and periodically. visited the site during the structural portion of
construction to observe the quality and progress of the structural portions of the work and
to determine whether that portion of the work was in general conformance to the
structural portion of the Contract Documents.
Our observations were mader to protectthe public and the owner and were not responsible
for the contractor's work or work methods, safety on or near the site, timeliness of the
work, nor any other aspect. of the construction for which the contractor was responsible.
Our office made site visits at the times when we could view the foundation work, the
bearing wail construction and the roof framing. Our scheduled observations are complete.
It is our opinion that the completed structural portion of the construction is in general
conformance with the structural portion of the contract documents.

Mr. Sommermeyer:
As requested, during the period April 1 through April 30,1998. Earth Engineering Consultants. Inc.
(EEC) personnel provided construction observation and testing services to you for the referenced
project. Those services were provided on a part-time, on -call basis and included observation and
testing of backfill placed adjacent to the foundation walls. Field density tests were completed by
EEC personnel at random locations within the completed pad area. Results of those tests are shown
on the attached summary sheet. Those test results met the project compaction criteria of at least 951/6
of standard Proctor maximum dry density at 4% of standard Proctor optimum moisture content.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions
concerning this report, or if we can be of further service to you in any other way, please do not
