Subject: Observation of Pier Drilling for Foundation, Piers for a Residence Under
Construction at 6809 Hancock Drive, Lot 88, Regittry Ridge Subdlvlslon,
Filing 1, Fart Collins, Colorado,

2) Foundation Design for the Subject Site by KLP Consulting Engineers,
Inc., Job No. 98-110.02, Model 4028.
The pier drilling operations at the subject site were observed on the referenced
date. A minimum of 50 percent of the piers under construction for the foundation were
observed by a representative of our firm, The foundation piers observed were bottomed
in materials suitable to support design pressures recommencled in the above referenced
documents, The soils exposed in the excavation and the type of foundation under
construction are consistent with recommendations presented in the ab,Lve referenced
documents.
The foundation peers observed met the minimum penetration and shaft length
specifications of the referenced documents and were drilledand cleaned to our
satisfaction. No free water was encountered within two feet of khe lowest level of the
excavation.
Deck piers were not observed during our field observatidn. If a deck is to be
constructed at a later date, we should be contacted to obs;�rve the drilling of the deck
piers.
