June 25, 1999 Project No. COCO-986A-18-701 Construction Concepts 14125 Mead Street Longmont, CO 80504 RE: Caisson Observation, Lot 24, Miramont Third Filing, Fort Collins, Colorado. Gentlemen: We observed a representative number of caisson holes drilled at the subject site on June 25, 1999. The holes observed were bottomed in materials suitable to support design pressures as recommended in the soils report by Earth Engineering Consultants., Project No. 1932053, dated January 14, 1994. The soils exposed in the excavation and in the observed caisson holes are consistent with the soil profiles presented in the geotechnical report. No water was encountered in any of the observed caissons holes at a depth up to12 feet below basement grade. The observed caisson holes met the minimum penetration requirements as per foundation plan. A properly installed perimeter subdrain system is required to help protect all below grade habitable space from water infiltration. Very truly yours, Landmark Engineering Ltd.
