Gentlemen:
We have reviewed the plans for the proposed addition to the
residence at the above referenced location. It is our opinion that
the sunroom may be supported on an eight (8) inch grade beam with
one (1) #5 top and bottom with no footing. The grade beam shall
extend a minimum of thirty (30) inches below grade and be isolated
from the slab.
Rafters may be 2x10's at two (2) feet on center with 2x6 collars
at each rafter. Collar ties shall be located one-third (1/3) of
the way down from the ridge. Connections shall be glue and a
minimum of eight (8) 16d nails.
