Gentlemen:
We have observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straigh shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 13, Huntington Hills Fifth Filing (643
Parliament Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This
inspection was performed on May 16, 1996.
Exposed soils measured from original grade consist of three (3)
feet of sandy clay over a claystone bedrock which extends to the
depths drilled, approximately twelve to eighteen (12 - 18) feet.
Ali piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned, and of adequate

ength as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 1706-11-09-
01. Water was encountered during drilling. Therefore, we
recommend concrete be placed immediately after drilling of each
individual caisson. Casing was not required.
