We have observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straight shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 6, Paragon Point P.U.D. Third Filing, a
subdivision of Fort Collins, Colorado. This inspection was
performed on September 27, 1993.
Exposed soils measured from original grade consist of three to
eight (3 - 8) feet of silty clay over a claystone bedrock which
extends to the depths drilled, approximately ten to thirteen (10 -
13) feet.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned, and of adequate
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 1607-05-05-05.
Water was encountered during drilling. Therefore, we recommend
concrete be placed immediately after drilling of each individual
caisson. Casing was not required.
If you have any que,tips;-'.pease feel free to call.
Respe tfully, =C— `
