Gentlemen:
We have observed the drilling of several of the ten (10) inch
diameter, straight shaft piers supporting the residence under
construction at Lot 25, The Overlook at Woodridge, P.U.D., First
Filing (4436 Viewpoint Court), a subdivision of Fort Collins,
Colorado. This inspection was performed on November 25, 1991.
Exposed soils consist of two (2) to three (3) feet of silty to
clayey sands-, over a- criaystaFne/ailtstone bedrock, which extends to
the depths drilled, approximately eight (8) feet below basement
elevation.
All piers observed were plumb, properly cleaned, and of adequate
length as specified on our foundation plan, Job No. 1419-01-11-03.
No -water was -encountered during-dc lljjrT. Although, casing was not
required, we recommend that concrete be placed immediately after
drilling of the caissons.
