Gentlemen:
Terracon observed construction features related to the basement slab at the referenced site on
January 5, 1999. Specifically, our observations indicate the following features are in general
accordance with floor slab recommendations in our Geotechnical Engineering Report prepared for
the subdivision on September 12, 1994 (Project No. 20945121): 1) void spaces below nonbearing
walls, 2) positive separations and/or isolation joints between the slab and foundation walls,
columns and plumbing and 3) contraction joints in the slab.
