Dear Bill:
As requested, we have observed the new glulam beam at the Lamplighter Motel entrance canopy.
The beam was installed after the original member was damaged by vehicular traffic. We have
also analyzed the beam according to the provisions set forth in the 1997 Uniform Building Code.
The result of our observations and calculations is that the beam, as constructed, is adequate to
support the anticipated loads.
