Mr. Basil Harridan
Storm Water Utility
City of Fort Collins
P.O. Box 580
Fort Collins,
Dear Basil:
Colorado 80522
The following is the storm drainage report for Lot 5, Replat of Edora
Acres, Second Filing, EXCEPT the North 20.00•feet thereof. The site contains
0.22 acres and is located at the west end of Erin Court, one block west of
Riverside Avenue. The site is in the Spring Creek Drainage Basin. It is
bounded on the north by an existing medical park and on the other three sides
by existing multi —family residences. The site slopes at an approximate 6.5%
grade from north to south.
The site is approximately 200 feet north of Spring Creek. Due to the
close proximity to Spring Creek, onsite detention is not required. There is
an existing 15—inch diameter storm drain that runs from the south side of the
cul—de—sac of Erin Court, south to Spring Creek. The runoff from Lot 5 will
flow into the gutter of Erin Court and then into the existing catch basin and
storm drain.
The proposed four —unit building will step down at each unit wall to fit
the rather steep slope of the lot. The runoff will go south along both the
east and west lines of the lot. The runoff from the asphalt parking area will
sheet flow into the Erin Court gutter.
There are not any offsite flows'entering this lot. The medical park
asphalt parking lot north of the site has a curb along its south line that
carries the runoff east to Riverside Avenue. The properties east and west
of this site drain south to Spring Creek. The lot south of this site also
drains south to Spring Creek.

The entire site will be disturbed; therefore, erosion control methods
will be used even though the area of the residential lot is less than 10,000
square feet. The foundation will be constructed within a few days of the
excavation. The asphalt parking area and .the concrete walks and patios will
be constructed within six weeks of the excavation. A silt fence will be placed
along the south property line, and a straw bale barrier will be placed at the
southeast corner of the parking area to filter silt before the storm'water
is discharged into Erin Court. Also, an area 72 X 31 will be reseeded east
of the building. These measures will provide an effectiveness of 86.1%.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please call. The runoff
calculations and the grading plan are enclosed as.a part of this report.
Sincerely,
G-2j a,
Richard A. Rutherford, P.E. & L.S.
