(ACE) has completed the erosion control sheet and related calculations for the revisions to the Homestead Park pond located within the Ridgewood Hills P.U.D. The following paragraphs discuss the analyses and subsequent recommendations. The erosion control plan for the Homestead Park site is shown on Sheet EC-1 of the construction drawings and is also provided in the back pocket of this letter report. Rainfall erosion control for the site will consist primarily of seeding/mulching of most disturbed areas, a silt fence along the northern, eastern and southern perimeters of the disturbed site, and a straw bale barrier along the proposed swale on the western edge of the site. To facilitate the performance standard evaluation and effectiveness calculations, two � erosion control subbasins were delineated to encompass all proposed areas of disturbance. Erosion control calculations based on methodologies outlined in the City of Fort Collins Storm Drainage Criteria Manual are provided as attachments to this letter. � These calculations indicate that the effectiveness of erosion control measures exceed the computed performance standard for the site. L 1 ' Based on the City of Fort Collins wind erodibility map, the site is in a moderate wind erodibility zone. If site construction is complete prior to winter weather, permanent vegetation will be provided in the form of lawn grass seed. If over-wintering is required using temporary measures, vegetation will be provided over the entire disturbed site in the form of an annual grass seed. If weather conditions will not readily allow for germination of the seed, soil roughening is recommended along with wind barriers to be spaced no greater than 200 feet apart. A construction sequence for erosion control measures has not been defined, as the overall ' project schedule has not been finalized by Park Planning and Development. However, the silt fence is recommended for installation at the commencement of construction.
