Dear Basil,
Attached is Addendum 1 to the Final Storm Drainage and Erosion
Control Report that accompanied the submittal for duplex construction at
605-1 /2 South Meldrum and 627-1 /2 and 629-3/4 South Sherwood, dated
May 16,1995 and revised June 29, 1995.
The reason for the addendum is to address the fact that staff in
Development Review wants the alley behind the Sherwood duplexes to be
constructed with an inverted crown with a concrete drain pan down the
center. This addendum compares alley flows to pan capacities.
If you should have any questions or suggestions concerning this
addendum, do not hesitate to call.

Addendum February 22, 1996
This addendum, and the revised sheets C2, C3, and C4, become part
of the original Final Storm Drainage and Erosion Control report titled as
above.
City staff at Development Review have requested the following
revisions be made to the utility drawings for the above project.
1 . Alley construction behind the duplexes proposed along
Sherwood should incorporate an inverted crown in lieu of the normal crown
cross section originally proposed. A concrete drain pan is to be constructed
down the center of the alley.
2. The concrete drain pans, including the pan already proposed
for the alley behind 605 Meldrum, are to be a minimum of 3' wide, with a
depth of 5/8". The original pan design called for a 2' wide pan, 2" deep.
Calculations are included to determine pan capacities at .40%
(Sherwood) and .64% (Meldrum).
Drainage capacity of the revised alley and pan cross section is
adequate for the anticipated 100yr runoffs.
