Dear Kate:
Re: Storm Drainage Facilities at Phase One of the Village at Southridge
The Swale along the west side of Southridge golf course has been regraded
so that it now has the capacity to carry the 100-year design flow as shown
on the approved plan.
The revision which eliminated the curb chase at the northeast corner of
Lemay and Muirfield and which also replaced a portion of a rear yard drain
pan with a 15-inch concrete pipe has been fully constructed. At the location
where this 15-inch pipe joins the 42-inch pipe along the east side of Lemay,
an access manhole has been constructed.
I am including a print of the construction plans. Please call if you
need further information.
Sincerely,
Phillip I. Robinson, P.E. & L.S.

Ms. Kate Malers
Storm Drainage Utility
City of Fort Collins
Dear Kate:
I have surveyed the as —built storm drainage facilities on Phase One of
the Village at Southridge. The pipes, manhole, catch basin, flared end sections
and rip rap are all installed in substantial compliance with the approved plan,
as indicated in red on the attached prints.
The drain swale on the .golf course has been graded and straw bale barriers
have been installed: Also the Swale along the rear of lots 43 through 47 has
been graded and straw bale barriers are in place.
A 2 foot wide concrete pan has been constructed which runs from east to
west behind lots 31 through 34 and then on west to Lemay. Straw bale barriers
have been placed along this pan. This pan picks up runoff from the "rear half
of lots 31 through 34 of Phase One, and also from the rear half of lots 23
through 30 of Phase Two. This pan intercepts flow which, by original plan,
would have drained to the north gutter of Muirfield Way. This runoff still
ends up flowing to the existing 42 inch pipe under Muirfield Way as per the
original plan, but now the flow in the north gutter will be reduced from
Q = 1.4 cfs and Q1nf1 = 5.4 cfs to Q = 1.1 cfs and Q 0 = 3.9 cfs. I believe
t o flow in the noPiF, gutter of Muirffield is small enbu$h so the sidewalk
culvert from Muirfield to the 42 inch pipe is no longer necessary.
Calculation of the_revi.sed flows are shown on the attached calculation
sheet.
Please call if you need further information or have questions.
Sincerely,
Phillip I. Robinson, P.E. & L.S.
