RE: Drainage Certification for Parkside Homes West at Rigden Farms Building_ s C and D,
directly east of Rockford Drive and north of Limon Drive.
Dear Sirs:
On July 5, 2002, we observed the site located at Parkside West. We observed the site during a
warm sunny day. Buildings C and D, had been final graded.
In addition to our observation, Steil Survey obtained spot elevations at numerous spots
throughout the site. Please refer to the attached elevation sheet.
Based on our observation and the attached surveyed information, the site appeared to drain away
from each of the buildings as follows:
Building C:.
The area drained away from the building, typically as designed with a few changes.
• The swales located north and west of the building appears to be shallower than design.
• The sidewalk located between Buildings C and D is more westerly than design. The
Iodation of the:sidewalk, force the northern portion of the swale to be located on the east
side of the sidewalk instead of the west side as design.
• The swale that is located south of Building C is either shallower than design or non-
existence. However, because there aren't any downspouts located on the south side of
the building. There is only limited need for the swale.
• It appears the grading of the swales follows that of the design, however, additional survey
Points would be needed to verify the required slopes.
• The area between the sidewalk and the curb of Limon Drive had not been graded nor
landscaped..
Building D:
The area drained. away from the building, typically as designed with a few changes.
• The: area between the sidewalk and the curb of Limon Drive had not been graded nor
landscaped.

The swales located northeast and southwest of the building appears to be shallower than
design.
The following items were observed:,
• The sidewalk culverts along the private walks appear to be significantly smaller than the
standard Mbot width (generally 4-inch),
Our recommendations were based on our observation on the dated noted above.
