PHASE 2 Buildings H, I, J, K Dear Mr. Schlueter: On January 24, 1996, a record survey was made under my supervision to determine whether Buildings H - K comply with the intent of the construction drawings prepared by Parsons & Associates as Project No. 9307-SAV and approved by the Director of Engineering on May 17, 1994. The approved drainage plan shows surface drainage throughout the site, draining north through a previous phase to Coy Ditch and south through a driveway opening to Linden Center Drive. The planned divide between these two drainage paths runs east -west through the midpoints of Buildings H, I, J and K. Runoff is carried in the inverted -crown drives serving the storage units; the typical design grade is 0.4 percent. We noted the following variances from the grading plan: The drives are of all -concrete construction, rather than the concrete valley pan with asphalt pavement composite shown on the drawings. 2. Spot elevations were measured as shown on the enclosed drawing. The north halves of the drives between buildings were flatter than designed, and the north half of the drive between Buildings K and L was level or nearly so. A short, level interval exists along the curb south of Building J. At the high point between Buildings I and J, the drive slopes slightly toward Building J. I observed nothing that should be expected to adversely affect the public drainage system. Sincerely, REAMS & P RSON, INC. St hen B. Reams, PE, PLS P esident cc: Darrell Knudson Dick Ummell 96M01
