Re: Drainage Certification for Lesher Junior High
Dear Jay,
We recently surveyed the Lesher Junior High additions located at 14000 Stover Street in Fort
Collins. Spot elevations were checked. to verify that the approved elevations and drainage
patterns were constructed. The enclosed 24" x 36" drawing shows surveyed spot elevations.
Observations taken during the site visit in combination with the attached as -built elevation verify
the flow directions indicated by the spot elevations on the 24" x 36" drawing. Visually the site
appears to be graded appropriately to ensure surface water drainage away from the building
and towards the designated outfall. A 30' by 70' concrete pad approved as part of the project
was not constructed and was replaced by sod and landscaping. The installed landscaping
maintains a positive slope away from the newly constructed addition and also adheres to the
approved drainage patterns.
A positive slope is maintained at all locations around the building protecting it from surface
drainage. It is my recommendation that the Certificate of Occupancy for this property be

that construction of all stormwater facilities and grading there is complete, and that the elevations and
drainage patterns shown on the attached drawing(s) which were developed from a survey performed on
9-30-06, accurately and truly depict the elevations and drainage patterns as they existed on the date of
the survey. Based on this information, I certify that (check one):
The elevations and drainage patterns of the lot are in substantial conformance with the City
approved drainage and grading plan or revised grading plan for the property (information
attached). SEE NOTE.
❑ The elevations and drainage patterns of the lot as measured are in general conformance with the
City approved drainage plan or revised grading plan with exceptions (information attached). In
my professional judgment the elevations and grading of the lot as constructed is functionally
adequate and will allow for stormwater drainage consistent with the approved drainage plan.
