or an appropriately qualified professional under my direct supervision, and verify that constriction of. all
stormwater facilities and grading is complete, and that the elevations and drainage pattems'shown on
the attached drawing(s) which were developed from a survey performed on (Date): 1 /24/08
accurately and truly depict the elevations and drainage patterns as they existed on the date of the
survey. Based on this information, I certify that (check one):
0 The elevations and -drainage pattems of the lot/site are insubstantial conformance with the City
approved drainage and grading plan for the property (information attached): SEE NOTE.
XY The elevations and drainage patterns of the lot/site as measured are in general conformance with
the City approved drainage plan with exceptions (information attached).. In my professional
judgment the elevations and grading of the lot/site as constructed are functionally adequate and
equivalent to the specifically approved drainage plan, and will affect stormwater drainage on 'and

Dear Mr. Barber,
This letter is being provided to acknowledge that a Grading Certification has been completed on
the property at 1209 Mountain Home Drive and has been found to generally conform with the
City approved drainage and grading plan for the property that was completed by Northern
Engineering.
As designed, the front portion of the walkout lot drains away from the home and into the gutter of
Mountain Home Drive. Runoff is then directed eastward in the gutter until reaching a storm inlet
located at the end of the cul de sac. The inlet discharges through an 18" diameter R.C.P. that
outlets into the adjacent detention pond. The backside of the lot drains in a southerly manner,
away from the house and into a drainage swale along the south lot boundary. The swale conveys
runoff to the neighboring detention pond located on Tract C. Several straw wattles have been
previously installed within the swale to reduce waterborne sediment from being carried into the
detention pond.
The owners began site landscaping last summer. (A copy of the landscape plan is attached for
clarify and to demonstrate that drainage for the property will not be negatively impacted.) A sand
volleyball court is proposed at the east side of the lot and excavation of the court has already been
conducted. As a means of providing adequate drainage until the volleyball court is completed in
spring/summer of 2008, a perforated 4" diameter HDPE underdrain was installed to carry
stormwater out of the excavated area and discharge it into the drainage swale along the south end
of the lot. The pipe was wrapped in a filter "sock" and covered with pea gravel to eliminate any
sediment from passing into the pipe and being carved downstream.
