Dear Jay:
JR Engineering (JR) surveyed the existing storm drainage facilities for the JFK Senior Apartments
on October 17 and 25, 2000. As a result of this effort, we offer the following for your review and
approval:
The drainage report for the site specified Swales AA, BB, CC and DD, as depicted in the
attached exhibit. Swale AA was designed at a slope of 0.5 percent and was constructed at a
slope of 1.02 percent. Swale BB will be a grass -lined Swale when completed, connecting to a
sidewalk chase, and was designed at 1.0 percent. The concrete portion of Swale BB was
constructed at 1.21 percent, and the (to -be) grass -lined portion was grade certified at 1.3 percent.
Swale CC was designed at 1.03 percent and was constructed at 1.05 percent. Swale DD was
designed at 1.0 percent and was constructed at 0.9 percent.
2. Two water quality ponds were specified in the site drainage report, both to be at least 345 square
feet in area. As -built depictions of the edges of the ponds resulted in a calculated area of 352
feet (32 by 11 feet) for Pond A, and 345 feet (23 by 15 feet) for Pond B.
This letter certifies that the items listed above are in general conformance with the approved plans.
Attached for your review are plan revision sheets with hand-written elevations, slopes, and pond
dimensions depicting the field -verified data.
If you should have any questions
review of these data. 11
Sincerely,
>= o
