Re: King Soopers Fueling Store #9 Drainage Review.
Dear Mr. Barber:
The King Soopers Fueling Store #9 is located at the southwest corner of West Elizabeth Street
and South Taft Hill Road. In general, the site grading and drainage appurtenances follow the
intent of the grading plan.
This letter is to clarify some of the visual consistencies and discrepancies found during a site
visit on September 8, 2009, compared to the grading plan sheet CG1.1 prepared by Galloway
Planning, Architecture and Engineering dated September 12, 2008 and survey for the site. At the
time of the site visit, the site had been final graded with hard surfaces in place, and landscaping
appeared to be completed.
Per visual observations on September 8, 2009, the site appeared to typically drain according to
plan. The following was noted:
• There are 2 curb cuts that were not in place and will be required per the plans for the
drainage to occur properly. These locations are depicted in Photos G and K.
• There is a minor low point located next to the trench drain on the south side of the site.
This is depicted in Photo L. Visual observation shows this area to have little effect on the
overall drainage pattern of the site. This area may require more maintenance to deal with
the standing water and is likely to deteriorate more quickly than the surrounding concrete.
Survey was performed by Nolte Associates on September 8, 2009. Attached is a drawing with
the As -Built points and design points. Not all spot elevations were compared to the design
drawings.
