Dear Basil,
As required by the hold placed on the certification of occupancy, we surveyed the
elevations of the rear lot corners. The north corner is 69.4 feet, the middle is 69.3 feet,
and the south corner is 71.1 feet. The north corner is 0.4 foot lower, the middle corner is
1.1 feet lower, and the south corner is 2.3 feet lower than the planned elevations.
However, these elevations match the surrounding ground level and should not .cause any
drainage problems. By lowering the middle and south corners, the contractor is improving
the drainage away from the house. The first floor elevation of the house is 73.5 feet,
which is 0.8 foot higher than the planned elevation.
The swales on the sides of the, house are complete and adequate, for conveying drainage to
the street. Enclosed are pictures of the swales.
It is our recommendation to release the hold planned,on this lot for the certification of
occupancy since the Contractor did a good job to adequately grade the lot to drain. If you
