Re: "As —Built" Storm Drainage Facilities and Finished Pond Volume
Boston Chicken at Lemay and Pennock P.U.D.
On October 26 and again on December 15, 1994, we completed a survey of
the existing drainage facilities. We found that the piping system, two area
inlets, and the two headwalls were constructed as shown on the original plans.
The inverts of the pipes and top of grate elevations are shown on the "As —Built"
Plan. They conform to the original plan within reason. The restriction plate
on the outlet at the north pond is also in place and is sized per the original
plan.
Spot elevations were shot around the existing north pond and the parking
lot pond. The spot elevations are shown on the "As —Built" Plan. This plan
is included for your review.
The "Boston Chicken" site has been completed, and they are open for
business. The Schlotzsky's site is completed except for the building and
landscaping. There is no erosion control in place on either site except for
a silt fence. An area inlet gravel filter should be placed around the inlet
on the Schlotzsky's site, and a straw bale dike should also be placed at the
outlet of the north pond.
We computed the finished volume of the two ponds from the "As —Built"
elevations, and the volume exceeds the required volume. The revised contours
are shown on the "As —Built drawings. If you have any questions or need more
information, please let me know.
