This letter and attached information is provided to certify that the drainage improvements
on the Odell Brewing Company, Second Expansion have been constructed in substantial
compliance with the plans approved July, 2002. All elevation information is based on
surveys completed by RJL Surveys (10-22-02 and 11-18-02). North Star Design took
measurements on outlet structures in the field on November 1, 2002. Differences from
the approved plan are noted below:
• The majority of the additional parking in the east pond is lower than plan grade.
Maximum ponding is the same as the design.
• The water quality structure was constructed 0.4 feet higher than plan grade. The
water quality volume is nearly twice that required and the detention volume is
achieved at the spillway elevation.
• The spillway on the east pond was constructed 0.l' higher than plan grade.
• The west pond meets the required volume, but was constructed with a flatter
bottom than design. The original pond was quite flat and the design did not
change the grades of the bottom. The original pond did require more maintenance
than a typical pond with a 2% bottom. I have spoken with the owner and she is
aware of the shallow slope and the additional maintenance that is required.
• All riprap has been buried and was not visible at the time of the site visit.
