COLORADO 80521-2603 970-482-5922 FAX:970-482-6368 March 7, 1997 Mr. Basil Hamdan City of Fort Collins Utility Services, Stormwater 235 Matthews Street Fort Collins, CO 80522 RE: Spring Creek Medical Park Lots 4 and 5 (Buildings D and E) Drainage Certification for Certificate of Occupancy Dear Basil: We are hereby completing a drainage and erosion control certification for work done in conjunction with Spring Creek Medical Park, Lots 4 and 5 (Buildings D and E). The intent of this letter is to verify the existence and quality of drainage utilities serving these lots. Dr. Dennis Brenkert, through Drahota Construction is seeking a certificate of occupancy for Building E. This issue has prompted the need for this certification. The attached drawing will serve as the record document of existing elevations and information surveyed on November 11, 1996. The following items are in compliance with the Erosion Control Plan: 1. The rip rap weir has been built according to the cross section B1 shown on the plan. The plans call for a width of 15.0' and the field investigation revealed a width of 18.0'. The rip rap is extended into the bed of the channel, making a quaint habitat for some ducks, which have since made it their home. Grey rip rap with a d5u of 18' was used. 2. The curb opening/overflow weir has been constructed according to the cross section redlined on sheet 1 of 1, accompanying this letter. The original cross section on the plans was modified by a letter dated September 26, 1996. The cross section was modified to keep the width of the weir spill narrow enough not to surpass the width of the rip rap. The field survey revealed the grades indicated on the redlined cross section. These grades match the proposed design, and in fact, create`a deeper weir, thereby making the field condition more conservative than the design. Finish grades were not designed The Sear -Brown Group (formerly RBD), but appear to have been constructed in a condition which blends with the existing parking lot. This certification is signed and stamped. By signing this letter I attest that, to the best of my knowledge, the record document conditions of the drainage facilities are described above and on the redlined plans attached. Failure to properly disclose all known information could result in rejection of this certification and prevent the release of any Stormwater Utility holds on Building Permits and /or Certificates of Occupancy.
