Collins, Colorado 80522 Re: Request for Certificate of Occupancy for of 1/Padia.Minor_Subdivision Fort Collins, Colorado Dear Basil, This letter serves as a request for the release of the Certificate of Occupancy for the pole barn located on Lot 1 of the Padia Minor Subdivision. This letter will also explain the long history of this project. Building permits were issued in 1993. The building was completed in late 1993 or early 1994. At that time, Joe Padia requested that we look into revising the grading around the building and not provide detention as shown on the original plan. The reason for his request, was that the finished floor of the building was set at 4976.23 feet. This is 1.5 feet above the 100-year flood elevation which is indicated on the plan (4974.73 feet). A copy of the application for Flood Plain Use Permit is attached for your reference Before we looked into the redesign , we asked the City of Fort Collins Stormwater Utility for their input. We were told that if we wished to release runoff from the site onto the property to the south undetained that we would have to receive permission from the owner of that property. The owner of the property to the south between Joe Padia's property and the Cache la Poudre River is Larimer County. The redesign of the grading around the pole barn located on Lot 1 of the Padia Minor Subdivision was approved by Rex Burns of the Larimer County Engineering Department on December 4, 1995. As noted on the plan this approval is limited to acceptance of stormwater from the site. A copy of the approved plan is attached for your convenience. We would appreciate it if you could proceed with issuance of the Final Certificate of Occupancy when you receive this letter. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
