I am writing to verify the as -built volume of detention pond C of the above referenced project. -
Drexel Barrell designed the pond and development for FC Timberline Development, L.L.C.
Curb and gutter, asphalt paving, storm sewer, and the Type R inlet have been constructed.
The pond has a maximum volume of approximately 1630 cf (0.037 ac-ft). Since there is an
orifice plate in the Type R inlet, this number includes available volume in the inlet itself. The
design volume was 1767 cf (0.041 ac-ft), so 92 percent of the design volume has been provided
by the construction. It appears that the existing easternmost curb return from Pavilion Lane to
the east entrance of the Circuit City building was not originally constructed at its design grade,
which has therefore slightly -reduced the pond volume. It is my opinion that everything possible
has been done to maximize pond volume short of removing existing curb, gutter, and asphalt
then rebuilding the area. Enclosed are our volume calculations.
