This drainage certification letter for Hageman Earth Cycle is intended to follow up our
previous partial drainage certification letter dated October 16, 2008. At the time of the first letter, a
portion of the berm called for along the south perimeter of the west portion of the site noted as "Basin
3" in the Plan had not been completed. This berm has now been completed. The project engineer
conducted a site visit on October 31, 2008 in to verify grading of the berm, and found the berm to be in
substantial compliance with the design plan. Therefore, based on the survey data and personal site
inspection, we believe that all major drainage improvements have now been constructed in general
compliance with the design.
If you require additional information or analysis regarding this project please contact me at
221-4158 ext.106.
Sincerely,

We have completed our review of the as -constructed drainage improvements for the above
referenced project as related to the approved "Stormwater Management Plan for Hageman Earth
Cycle", dated August 27, 2008. This certification is intended to verify compliance with this approved
Plan.
Field surveys of the site were conducted by Northern Engineering in August and October of
2008 and have been used to verify general conformance to the Plan. The project engineer conducted
site visits in August and October of 2008 to verify grading and drainage improvements. Based on the
survey data and personal site inspection, we believe that all major drainage improvements have been
constructed in general compliance with the design with the following exception:
A portion of the berm called for along the south perimeter of the west portion of the site
noted as "Basin 3" in the Plan has not been completed
It is our understanding that the reason this has not been completed is a lack of available fill
material, however the owner has stated that he will obtain the needed material and complete the berm
in the next few weeks. We will follow up with an additional letter to you verifying the completion of
the berm at a later date.
The volume for the combined Ponds 1 and 2 was calculated from the topography provided by
Northern Engineering. The design volume for the combined Ponds 1 and 2 was 0.64 acre-feet; the as -
built pond achieves a total storage volume of 0.90 acre-feet. Thus, we conclude that combined Ponds
1 and 2 will perform adequately with the design intent. Please see the attached as -built information for
combined Ponds 1 and 2.
The volume for Pond 3 was calculated from the topography provided by Northern Engineering.
The design volume for Pond 3 was 0.53 acre-feet; the as -built pond achieves a total storage volume of
0.50 acre-feet. Thus, we conclude that Pond 3 will perform adequately with the design intent. Please
see the attached as -built information for Pond 3.
There are minor inconsistencies throughout the site; however, the performance of the drainage
design, in my opinion, will not be hindered. To the best of my knowledge the major drainage
improvements for the project site, apart from the above mentioned item, are constructed in substantial
compliance with the design intent of the approved construction drawings. If you require additional
information or analysis regarding this project please contact me at 221-4158 ext.106.
Sincerely,
