Re: Certification of as —built drainage facilities for Fox Creek P.U.D.
First Filing— Phase One.
The utilities and street improvements for Fox Creek P.U.D. First Filing —
.Phase One are constructed per the approved plans.
The detention ponds are constructed to the total size and volume required
for the entire Fox Creek P.U.D. First Filing— both Phase One and Phase Two.
The outlet pipes are installed. The pipe from pond Al is 6 inch DIP per the
plan, and the outlet pipe from pond D1 was changed from ADS corrugated to ADS
N-12 with pressure sealed joints. The concrete headwalls with restriction
plates have not been installed, but the pipe inlets are completely covered
with gravel sediment traps, which will limit the release to less than the
restricted opening would have allowed. The gravel sediment traps shall be
maintained until the Phase Two construction of the storm drain pipes and swale
underdrain system is completed. The temporary storm drainage channel from
Phase One to detention pond D1 has been changed from the location shown on
the plan to a location in the streets. This seemed a more practical location
for the temporary channel since the utility construction in Moore Lane and
McKeag Drive from Phase One to pond D1 had already eliminated vegetation within
the streets, and the grading of the street provided a good slope for the ditch.
The swale along the east side of Fox Creek from Phase One to detention
pond Al has been graded.
Erosion control has been provided by seeding and straw mulching both
detention ponds and a portion of the swales to the ponds. Sediment control
is provided by gravel filters over both pond outlet pipes and by a silt fence
along the north side of the PV and LC ditch.
The storm drainage swales, detention ponds and erosion control procedures
are more than adequate for the 17 lots of Phase One. Storm water runoff will
be managed on the site and eroded sediments will be kept onsite by the sediment
traps and silt fence.
